| As our name indicates, Original follows the production procedures of the origins of vodka, an Original drink first distilled in Poland in 1564. Wodka is the Polish word for water. . .and now, as then, our water comes from deep artesian wells near our distillery in Poland.Today's Original utilizes state-of-the-art production techniques and equipment, which removes virtually all congeners, aldehydes and esters. . .making today's Original as close to complete purity as possible.What makes Original the first and last word in vodka: * Original is made with crystal clear water from artesian wells. * Original is created with 100% rye grain, grown specifically for our vodka production in Poland. * Original utilizes only heart-of-the-shaft rye grain, not the heads and tails of the grain shaft. * The grain is cleaned a minimum of six times to remove any extraneous properties. * Our patented proactiv distillation (TM) process allows us to continue the distillation beyond our minimum six times if necessary, based on our experts' tasting and analysis. * Original is then filtered a minimum of three times in the final production process. * A final analysis is made to evaluate levels of viscosity. . .the silky smooth finish that prevents ice crystals from forming.
